Drive-in racking

High storage capacity for a courteous price

Drive-in racking has certain advantages over classic pallet racking. Pallet racking involves a definite loss of warehouse space due to the use of separate aisles between each double row of racks. If the need for storage capacity exceeds the capabilities of conventional pallet racking there are various alternatives.

Not only are goods placed next to and above each other in drive-in racks, but also unlimited in depth. By driving a forklift in the storage channel the goods can be placed on the different levels. This works most efficient for high volume goods which are stored together. Ideally, there is only 1 reference per storage channel to avoid extra movements. Because of the setup of the drive-in racks the goods cannot be removed per full level, but rather one at a time from top to bottom..

One should not forget to check the dimensional specifications of the forklift to ensure there is enough space to drive in to the storage channels.

Specific information regarding the operation, benefits, components and quality of our drive-in racking can be found in the tabs below.

Operation

Using drive-in racks the forklift is steered into the racks to place pallets and other goods or to take them out. There is no limit to the number of pallets in depth or the number of storage channels next to each other.

The drive-in rack is designed to achieve a higher storage capacity than possible with conventional pallet racking. When storing goods several pallets can be placed one after the other on the same level. This determines that the drive-in rack is mainly suitable for the storage of uniform pallets where several pallets of the same product must be stored.

The drive-in rack can be adapted to your specific needs in order to obtain maximum use of the available space in your warehouse.
